Emma Bednar
After receiving a B.A. from George Mason University, my
focus was on sculpture and painting. Then, I explored other
media and became fascinated with painting on silk. In 1997,
I became a member of the Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery and the
Art League Gallery, where some of my works have been exhibited.
Lately, I have been working with wire and/or seed beads to
make jewelry. In my necklaces, I include my own kiln-formed
dichro glass focal beads. I also create collages and greeting
cards of hand painted silk cut-outs, inks and threads.
