Annabel Ebersole
Art quilting makes my heart sing and gives me the chance
to make small pieces with lots of embellishments, colors and
meaning. I have taught hand piecing for many years and confess
that I pack my hand work before my clothes when I travel!!
Becoming a member of the Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery has given
me a chance to exhibit my work and to join a very talented
group of artists and feel the creative juices flowing at the
Torpedo Factory.
As an art quilter I care deeply about making art available
in health care settings to uplift the spirits of those waiting
for care. You can see my work on the web site of Fiberartists@looseends
to which I belong. I am also a member of the Alliance for
the American Quilt, which is an advocate for quilters through
documenting our oral history. They also sponsor lectures and
charity events. I belong to AQN and SAQA and am an acitve
member of my Reston Quilters Unlimited chapter.
I enjoy making quilts that are fun, such as my fish series-
one of which was highlighted in the Oct. show at the Potomac
Fiber Arts Gallery. Additionally, I make quilts with written
messages on them and am working on several series quilts on
spring and on an old family cookbook reprinted onto fabric.
I also teach at the Artful Quilter in Burke, VA.
