Fran Spaeder

My first introduction to sewing began in the seventh grade when I learned to sew a skirt by hand. Over the years, my skills have progressed from that skirt to my wedding gown to numerous apparel and home projects for myelf and others. Since 2002, I have been able to fully pursue my passion for sewing after teaching Math for 4 years followed by 30 years as an information technology professional.

My main focus is on a collection of creative accessories for the home and wardrobe which range from simple to complex contemporary and traditional one-of-a-kind colorful patchwork patterns. Patchwork allows me to do my part to save the environment by using every scrap of fabric and to repurpose discarded apparel and home decor fabrics.
