Show: Wondrous, Luscious Silk

It is wonderful as artists to have a common theme to be challenged with in creative directions and to incorporate the specific theme into our work. We had hoped to receive a lot more new work that accomplished this particular theme with all three characteristics.

Among the pieces that were submitted, we chose to highlight Janet Barnard's wondrous, luscious silk clutch purse, Eileen Doughty's luminous silk paper earrings and Ann Liddle's subtly luscious hand-dyed silk vest. These pieces demonstrated more than one of the qualities that we feel exemplified the theme of the show.
