I am a graduate of James Madison University with a major in garment tailoring. I am a self-taught artist who continues to take classes to expand my knowledge, whether it is learning a new technique or adding to my fine art knowledge.
I am a fiber artist who uses the camera lens as inspiration for my creations. I make fiber art, wearable art clothing, fashion accessories, and fashion jewelry. I do teaching, trunk shows, craft shows, quilt repair and commissions. I will accept commissions to create fiber or wearable art. I do remembrance/memory quilts using the garments that a customer wishes to use in the piece of fiber art. I do special-order wearable art clothing and accessories.
I have seen my creations walk the runway, be exhibited in museums, at quilt shows, art shows, on display at craft shows and for sale. Many of my wearables have won ribbons in wearable art shows. I created ensembles for the Bernina fashion show for several years.
I like to recycle, redesign, and repurpose garments and fabrics into my creations. It may be vintage kimono fabrics or surface altered fabrics. Each of my Priscilla Creations is unique, unusual, and comfortable to wear.
